Nimklin Island Progress Post #1
This is gonna be my first actual progress post on my island, so it’s kind of like a milestone or something.
Anyways, the first thing I’ve been doing as of late is decorating around the crescent moon pond. I’ve started on planting the trees but would also like to add flowers in the future as an extra touch.
At the highest cliff and near my house is the heart pond, which I’ve fixed up a bit from what it previously looked like. I want to primarily decorate this one with flowers, probably in roses that come in reds, pinks, and blacks. Next to it I’ve been setting up a little sit down area next to a well and lots of trees.
The bottom of the heart pond leaks into the main waterfall of the island and into the ocean. I’ve tried to decorate around the waterfall and put some little land squares to hop on.
Nearby I put one of my catches from my lucky fishing streak, an Oarfish, out in the open with an unseen lawn chair and garden hose to fill the pool. I just thought the new model for the really big fish tanks is cool.
I fully maxed out my house so the exterior changes are free, and in the spirit I tried to match it to the cherry blossoms. To be honest, it’s too bad the options for exterior design are so limited. I don’t know if you get more the more you change your exterior or something, but I just hope there’s something in the future to diversify my options... I really liked some of the old exterior design options that don’t seem to be present in the current options.
This is what’s over the little land bridge to my house. I put the Engineer from TF2 in the area because I felt like he belonged there. I’ve been planning on decorating the river around my house with more flowers and put a little picnic area out here.
...and for the final picture, I’ve been working on my hybrids on the second layer of my island. Recently a nice person on the Bell Tree forums gave me the missing flowers and fruits I needed, so now I essentially have all of the native fruits and flowers in the game now. That’s definitely a reason to start breeding flowers now, although so far I’ve had no luck in any hybrids when I water them. But when it rains I somehow get more lucky... wonder if rain just increases the chances or something.
Thanks for reading, that’s it for now.
