Three separate plot points.... And I suddenly realized it was all the Toasterverse.

This is probably not a new take but... I'm currently taking a course about birds and my chapter this week is about flight and as I'm reading I'm realizing just HOW much energy it takes to get a tiny song bird in the air. Like bigger birds need to take a running start, but song birds jump and their legs provide enough initial thrust for their flaps to do something.

Birds have to rapidly accelerate so that they don't stall and have to try again.

We see it happen almost instantaneously. Like there's a bird and now it's flying. But wow there's so much going on in their bodies.

Anyway, my point... Hawks.

This is a grown man with a big wingspan yes, but like.... The amojnt of food he'd have to eat to sustain his human body mass AND to be able to make sure he doesn't get exhausted while flying, because wow. Hummingbirds have to eat CONSTANTLY to sustain their flight abilities.

Okay he definitely presents as a bird of prey so he probably isn't eating at all hours of the day like hummingbirds are trying to do. But still the energy expenditure this man goes through everyday is wow.

We've seen him just take off and go. Hover because why not he's stopping to chat. And just omg. The amount of energy Hawks uses to just take off from his spot and hover. His heart is most likely rather avian too to account for the aerobic needs for flight.

Anyway, my new headcanon is that sometimes he hangs out with Fatgum to eat and keeps high protein snacks on himself at all times.

I'm about to introduce Hawks to my current WIP and you best believe I'm going to be sticking some kind of jerky and cliff bar in his hand all the time. Dude needs to eat.

Headcanon: Kirishima knows the language of flowers/floripgraphy.

Crimson Riot is the chivalrous hero. I imagine he'd probably know it to fit his theme and it's pretty cool. Chivalry and a dash of victorian (i think) romance.

SO! By extension, since Crimson is Kirishima's definition of a manly man and a hero Kiri looks up to, HE learns the language of flowers because why not it's manly and he's manly.

He actually finds it quite nice as well. I headcanon that he's a bit of a romantic as well, so it turns out that the language of flowers is a special interest that only Mina knows about. He doesn't try to hide it, but he doesn't advertise it and it's never come up before.

He definitely confesses to [insert name here] via language of flowers.
