2. Favorite thing about this ship?

Ugh <3 I think it's the palpable generational gap, and the deep mutual care across it, actually? I hope I make sense while saying this, but I feel like t&b beautifully depicted that gap in understanding between the veteran who's past his prime and the rookie who's too single-minded to look further than his own nose, and how neither are completely wrong. and then it proceeded to show how they bridged that gap to an extent, and how you can really care for and love someone who remains very different from you, and it was so UUUUGHH

everyone should watch tiger&bunny. what i'm saying doesn't do it justice

9. Speaking of, would this ship be good at having a pet? What kind of pet would they have?

i somehow struggle to see them with big pets like dogs and cats. i think kotetsu would be great with a big dog, but somehow they just don't strike me as a couple with a dog or a cat. somehow, a guinea pig comes to mind for barnaby

like somehow i see kotetsu offering barnaby a guinea pig, and barnaby thinking "in what world could this have seemed like a great gift idea for me" but he receives it anyway and takes good care of it

18. If this ship was a dessert, what kind of dessert would they be?

i see them as a fresh melon and strawberry parfait, the japanese kinds with lots of cream

22. A headcanon you have for this ship?

I know s2 tried to make us believe they never went out for drinks together BUT i still think they had at least one or two evenings either at Barnaby's or at Kotetsu's where Kotetsu taught Barnaby how to do his fried rice ;w;b

I love them! I wasn't expecting this ship going into Season 2, but now they are my ships of all time! I love their dynamic, how they compliment each other, and the various small scenes they have together like when the heroes were temporarily suspended. It's also super awesome to see Keith, a character who is heavily coded as being autistic/neurodivergent, finding someone who treats him with respect, down to his speech mannerisms, and for Nathan to find that same respect as a non-binary person from his buddy.

I also love how you've written them in your fanfics; you've really captured their voices excellently and seeing a notification that you've written something new brings me joy!

The ship that got me into Gundam, and I am glad they did! They are such a sweet couple, and the way they have both helped each other grow throughout the course of the series is an excellent example of character writing which I wish was the standard for romance (sub)plots. I'm torn between wanting to see more of their story, but being very happy to see them living together happily as wives at the end of the series. Either way, the ride to get to that ending is something I won't forget.

Also, fuck the executives at Bandai Namco who said their relationship is "up to interpretation"! Cowards and losers, all of them.

3. how you feel about your current WIP

I still like the ideas but for both WIPS the current state of them I feel meh about. I'll probably scrap most of both and redo it if I'm still feeling up for it.

9. start to finish, how long did it take you to write the last fic you posted?

The last fic in general would be this one, which took maybe twenty minutes. But if we're going with something lengthier, then the jealousy fic, which took about a month.

10. what is the longest amount of time you’ve let a draft rest before you finished it?

Hahaha, oh god. Like five years?

19. the most interesting topic you’ve researched for a fic

No idea. I've researched a lot of things for fics. Mythology, religion, autism, ADHD, personality disorders, chronic illnesses, EDS, animals, and so on. I find a lot of things interesting.

24. how do you recharge when you’re not feeling creative?

Sleep, play video games, eat.

🐶 Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?

kitty kitty kitty cats with their big ol eyes and their silly little voices and their being So Small and Sleeping On Me...... my kitty is such a sweet boy filled with dreams of chicken and birds. also he thinks the mouse cursor is a lil bug and he tries to eat it and gets confused when he bonks his nose on the monitor screen, 15/10, no notes

🙃 What’s a weird fact that you know?

i have no idea if this counts as a weird fact, but it is A Fact that a lot of my friends who do not routinely assemble furniture seem to know (we are constantly assembling quilt frames and furniture for customers at work lol) but!! when you're assembling furniture!!! Do not tighten every screw down all the way until all the pieces are together and aligned. Since most furniture is mass produced, oftentimes the machining can be inconsistent by just a small amount between pieces, meaning holes won't line up perfectly--but if you fasten screws or bolts just enough to hold pieces together without tightening it all the way, you can give yourself some wiggle room!! And then you can kind of fenangle everything into fitting together, then tighten it all down when youre done.

Send “📂“ for a random yet completely useless headcanon I have.

Even though Kotetsu, Barnaby, Mr. Legend, and L. L. Audun all have the same type of NEXT power, the way they activate it is completely different.

Barnaby grew up around electronics and robotics and thinks of his powers as on a switch or a button to push. He flips it on and it activates.

Kotetsu is more in touch with his emotions, and so he needs to get emotional to activate Hundred Power. He needs to be angry, to be scared, even to be happy enough could probably work.

He also is more adaptable because he doesn't think too hard about his powers. His power boosts his abilities to a hundred times their normal; of course that means he can focus on his hearing, or eyesight, or his healing ability. Why wouldn't it?

Meanwhile, Barnaby couldn't, or at least he couldn't before meeting Kotetsu.

5. What’s a fic idea you’ve had that you will never write?

oh boy i have. a LOT of those but uuhhh. i have a whole taz balance rottmnt au in my head that i will absolutely never end up writing bc it would be WAAAYYY too long and i know for a fact id give up halfway through. THAT SAID heres the 'casting' i had bc im right about it and everyone has to know

also DOUBLE that said. if anyone ever wants to ask or talk abt said au. please. PLEASE. i love it so much even if ill never write it. it lives in my head rent free

11. Do you have specific playlists for writing fics?

not really? i do have a playlist for cmh that ill probably drop at some point but i dont usually listen to it when writing

16. At what point in the process do you come up with titles?

honestly unless i get inspired randomly its usually a frantic search for smth that sounds good right before i post it
