Reflecting on Hope today, perhaps I can't be there today with everyone but that doesn't mean I can't be mindful, present, and contemplative. Hope isn't pretending that suffering, problems, sadness and strife is non-existent but rather it's faith, that one day there will be light in all the darkness, that one day our pain will heal, and our difficulties overcome, that tomorrow is another chance to try, to laugh, to cry, to love, to breathe, to fail, to learn, to succeed, to hug, to be loved, and to be. Hope is the idea that time will pass, that hard work and the constant need to get better will push me forward, and that with every step forward I am getting closer to becoming myself again... but this time a better version, one who doesn't take anything for granted, who understands, who is wise, who never judges, who tries to be loving, be a good friend, be there for people & not hide from everything and everyone, be strong enough to face anxiety, fears, and anything that life brings, be good and kind with every breath; be someone who loves unconditionally, and takes advantage of happiness whenever it's within grasp. 🙌🏽♥️🙏🏽📿 Hope will be my motivation. This year won't take me as it's prisoner any longer. Hope will be how I wake up every morning facing the demons that left me so tired the night before.
