Word ‘dinosaurs’ was a foreign one for him still. The first time he saw the word would be around the time they were sent their options for the islands. He hadn’t picked this place but eventually ended up here instead Nommin. 

Well, it seems more fragrant then Volaat for sure but...

His eye grows large when a long necked reptilian creature makes it’s appearance. For sure he sees all sorts of things in Spirale but that doesn’t mean it never takes him by completely surprise anymore.

“ ....the hell. “

Ogata gives up easy route for the cave, he wouldn’t want to cross paths with that thing. Instead he turns to the foliage, turning the branches aside to travel further within the forest. 

He’s just almost as surprised to meet another person. It seems the guy shares the surprise at least. He doesn’t stay in this trance of surprise for long however.

“......well. Look at that”, Ogata mutters. He speaks quietly as he continues:

“ There’s a big thing over there so if you’re here for the cave you should probably consider another one. “

LOCATION: Haugst Island

Ogata places finger over his lips.

He’s standing at the other end of the kitchen opposite to the entrance the girl came from. He doesn’t know if the other can read lips but mouths the words anyhow pointing his eye first and then the thing between them.

“It might be blind.”

He’s fairly sure as it turned around at one point but has yet to attack. It barely has a shape - a thin, stick like figure with a skin like melted tin that hangs from the middle and it’s long spiderlike legs. He counts five limbs. It’s huddled at the fridge, seemingly to be eating... something, he can’t see it from here. Hopefully not valuable resources.

Then something cracks, glass underneath the girls foot ...? Maybe. Ogata doesn’t hesitate to not to dwell on that when the creature turns shrieking towards her. Click of a bolt followed by a gunshot. 

Damn, that’s going to gather unwanted attention....

He’s pulled the legs of his trousers up, removed his shoes and socks to wade into half sunken hold. 

Ogata can feel them nibbling his feet, lightly. You can eat the crawlies too, he knows but there’s something more interesting in there. Two wooden boxes. Half sunk but they seem sturdy. Maybe there’s something edible in there to snack with the crawlies.

He has his arm on the box when his ears pick up something. Sand against wood... perhaps someone’s feet. He gets up quick to grab his rifle.

“ Come out. Hands up in the air. I have a gun. “
