                    Jane: Confront your teenage demons.

               That’s a bit of a strong way to phrase it, but admittedly it has been a           weird thing, talking to Jake. As far as Jane can tell sometimes, it feels           like he’d rather be left alone, and as much as she wants to air out the           closet of their friendship, she also can’t really blame him if he wants his           space. The mess of their personal grievances three years prior and their           aftereffects are much fresher in hr mind than they are his. By all accounts,           Jane really screwed the pooch in more ways than one.

               Still. That didn’t mean she couldn’t try to set things right, right?

With a violent jolt and an audible gasp Jade was ripped from her vivid hallucinations, shaken awake from her disturbed reverie. One moment she was berserk, a stark raving, ravenous monster, and the next she was a confused puppy, blinking blearily up at Jake through askewed lenses. 

"...Jake...?" she managed to rasp, her voice raw and meek. "What's going on?"
