end of the month is hitting soon so better now than never.... HAPPY PRIDE MONTH (AGAIN)!!

this time it's aroace edition, ft. the ratgarden duo! ik ishida looks irritated but he's really just embarrassed, i think he wouldn't really get the point of pride month when people are just People and he does not have any care for the specifics. obayashi would also be happy to be involved in the celebrations but just wouldn't be very used to dressing up fancy for celebrations- he likes being pampered like a princess though, for everything he puts effort into, so he'll take it! and he can't really tell if he's looking at the camera or not with his blindness

that being said, have a wonderful pride month y'all, take care of yourselves!! remember, each and everyone of you are valid in any way! i'm just doing this bc we had an aroace pair and also bc they deserved better so i may as well make them happy. enjoy <3

this took me three hours but it was so worth it. i still don't know how to render but ykw we ball!! i can improvise or smth, i think this is as close as i'm gonna get.... pretty proud of it tho!!

shichi's design is mostly original but credits to clovedoesthings (not going to tag them since they don't want to do tetro stuff anymore) for the tan skinned design!

i edited the sprites of Protag and changed up some stuff (skin colour, some features) but it doesn't look too different so that's good. anyways have kata checking himself for signs because i could and i wanted to draw him

also usually i would make him wear his usual clothes but in my defense i am not making kata wear an apron in the bathroom. that'd be a bit weird so pretend he's wearing it after this

what the hell is realism art on sony sketch BHSJDGSKN the only reason this was easier than i thought it'd be (still difficult as hell) is because i took art as a core subject which needed me to draw realistically.... shading is still so complicated though like what is that

anyways. this was me trying to draw akioka in the [No, I'm Not A Human] artstyle!! as a follow-up post to my previous ask (shoutout to @averagedelusionalincarnate), context for this is after akioka manages to get the Intruder away from main doors of the warehouse that kata was taking refuge in.

general background is that when the cataclysm happens, having previously been working part-time at a warehouse and unable to go back home, Kata stays inside in hopes of surviving the apparent apocalypse and avoiding Visitors. thankfully, Kata receives broadcasts even from inside the warehouse from some of its display screens, so he's still kept up to date on any news.

the Intruder/Pale Visitor/whatever equivalent is the first Visitor that Kata encounters after a while of staying alone in the warehouse, in which when questioned on being alone (he is, at this point in time) is chased away by Akioka, claiming that they're staying inside together and trying to get him away. this is untrue; Akioka had been searching for shelter and had just stumbled upon the warehouse when the Intruder was at Kata's door; however, regardless of that fact, his presence was enough to have the Intruder leave them be momentarily.

Akioka is the first person that Kata lets into the warehouse as a result, as nobody knew anyone was inside the warehouse or that it was liveable until now. following this is the rest of the ISONITRO cast, who would all have randomised chances of being Visitors. four people out of the sixteen cast members can be Visitors at once (at most, that is)! beyond that, one of the fifteen others that Kata can let inside does not have a randomised chance of being a Human or Visitor, but is a Guaranteed Visitor across any route! guess who :)))

also i'm working on the others i swear. working on some of their family's sprites (siblings, parents, etc.) too! the ones who deserve sprites at least... unlike a certain snowball's mother or denrat's father..... i'll update more on the sprites i'm doing when i get there lol

the entire thing about needing to hide your true feelings from those around you because the environment you are in is suppressive and traditionalist and anything less will lead to them scorning and/or abandoning you. eventually spilling the secret anyways because you just can't take it anymore and it backfiring on you as you expected even if you didn't want it to. doing things in the sake of being normal and trying to blend in when you are inherently Different and nothing will change the fact. yeah

anyways i also tied the lyrics back into him. burning his body both because cremation is the main form of funeral in japan and because his pain flares make his body feel like it's "on fire". turning his heart into smoke and ashes because of the fact that even if he wouldn't be looked down on for being bisexual, his parents and other people would still expect and want him to marry and have a wife and children when he could still feel attraction towards guys. being reborn into a different body because shinto dictates that people reincarnate until they find peace or ascend to becoming kami AND because his body is "faulty" in his eyes because of his pain disorder. i'm far too attached to this song AND this silly guy can you tell

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH!!! i know i'm like. ten days late from the start of this month's celebration but it's within the month so it counts. take THE himukashi masane, as the genderfluid demiromantic icon they are, and also akioka because as much as i would draw the aroace duo they're getting their own frame. and he's my favourite so yeah. in case you're wondering he has the bisexual and polysexual flag respectively because he doesn't have it all completely sorted and just decided on both. so yeah there you have it

also himukashi has both red and indigo nail paint because of shiga. yes i did the hirojima thing bc they are partners and lovers your honor.u can ignore this if you don't ship it obviously bc i don't look down on any ships! also i made it a small little thing so feel free to overlook it but these guys are now my OC renditions so. i get to do what i want with hirosoda bc they shld've been canon smh /j /lh

also yes ik the designs are very jarring when put with each other but i thought it was a funny vision. yeah

fun fact: i drew them looking in different directions intentionally! akioka's looking at the screen while himukashi's looking directly at the camera! they have a slight difference in the ways they use devices (he doesn't know how to use social media either)

i wish i could say i'm just doing this bc of you but t's also bc i have little to no motivation to work on complicated stuff and this is fun. aura cam photos are genuinely so damn difficult to replicate but i so badly wanted to make akioka's photos so. i hope this looks at least a little bit similar or i will cry /j
