Tapping at the Windowpanes ||  Leod and Choral  (Fitz and Charlie, 1887)

There was something thrilling about courting in secret, Leod thought, grinning like a lunatic as he tossed a pebble up to knock the panes of Choral’s window.  He’d just come back from an exploration in the Near East and hadn’t told her he was coming back so soon, let alone bearing such a fine gift that currently lay in his pocket for his beloved.

Another pebble.  It wasn’t that late in the day, the sun had only just gone down and the gas lamps hadn’t been lit, so perhaps she was at dinner?  He looked around, expecting to have to dive into the bushes at any moment, wondering if they’d be thick enough to hide his bright cravat or if he’d wind up being pulled out by the ears.

((I dreamed about the preincarnation before Leonard, an enthusiastic archaeologist. His beloved (Charlie DeLacey’s past life) was set to run away with him bc her father didn’t approve, and they were excited to start their new life together, until he fell in a plant with microscopic jellyfish-like barbs that left him crippled. She stole him away to her sister’s house (she was an amateur chemist) and tried to look after him, but her dad found them and ordered her to choose. She couldn’t, so Fitz left, knowing that it wouldn’t be him. He died a month later from a broken heart and the poison bc the spikes were never removed))

Opinion on;

Character in general: Charlie is wonderful! She is sweet and shy and lovely and I adore her. Skye does too. Those two are such giant nerds, no wonder they get on so well XDHow they play them: AMAZINGLY. You have such a great writing style that I simply love being on the other side of it.The Mun: Where do I even start here? Absolute darling. Overall Opinion: If you’re not already following this great muse, you definitely should. She is a brilliant OC who I (and Skye) adore. Mun is a doll and an incredible writer.

Charlie lets herself in, tank stand wheels squeaking, and flops down on top of Dean. "It's nap time," she announces, deliberately sitting between him and whatever he's been working on for way too long. ((hi bby))

He has enough time to register squeaking before there’s a petite jewel in his lap demanding that it’s nap time.

He’s set to protest, because really, it’s important, but it’s Charlie.

“I’m not sure nap times are mandated at SHIELD, but how about we compromise for a snack and tea break?”
