Silence is no longer an option. Silence is consent
I have seriously unfriended and unfollowed several dozen "friends" from social media sites because I can't deal with their ignorant mindsets any longer. I normally have a simple rule of not discussing politics, religion, ethics with people I like. I mean I respect the right that everyone has to believe in what they want. However, that does not mean that they have any grounds to infringe on the rights and wellbeing of others. Reasoning will not work with these people, especially when they're in the mindset of being the "wronged" ones. But it's no longer the time to sit by and let others be trampled on. It's the time for us to come together, stand up, and speak out for what we know is detrimental to human kind as a whole.
Another one for the Aleppo/Syria auction I'm having on Facebook! This is an old fashion illustration from 2013. It's easy to join. Just go to Facebook, comment below the post. Shipping worldwide. Thank you all for sharing the previous post, I appreciate that! #helpaleppo #aleppo #istandwithlove #marieforleo #fashionillustration
For Orlando
You - You who have felt uncomfortable in your own skin. You who have decided that you are not who you want to be. That your gender does not align with your head and heart. You who feel trapped in your own skin and want to be set free -
You deserve nothing
less than your friend who wakes up everyday content with their sex. Nothing less than any person who is able to look at their body in a mirror and not feel consumed with disgust, hatred, or shame. You deserve the body you need. You deserve to be the person you want to be.
You - You with the unwashed hair and unkempt clothes. You who have tried and failed to make your way in this cruel world. You who stand, sit, and sleep somewhere new every day. You who have no place to call home -
You are worth nothing
less than the people in suits who walk past without a second glance. You are worth nothing less than any person with a four year degree and sound job. Your life holds the same worth as the life of any other human being. You are worthy of safety, you are worthy of shelter, you are worthy of contentment.
You - You who have realized your heart is unique. You who have found love in the hands and soul of someone outside the status quo. You who reject the idea that love is for a man and a woman, and no one else -
You shouldn’t be allowed
to be ostracized and condemned. You shouldn’t have to fight for the right to love who you want to love. And in no way should you ever be allowed to live in fear. Fear of the ignorance and cruelty of a world who just cannot grasp what love truly is. You should not have to hide, you should not feel ashamed, and you should not be dismissed.
You - You who are human -
You should be allowed to be happy.
You deserve to love.
You are worth life.
The healing of the world is in our hands. #MothersDay #IStandWithLove http://bit.ly/24us6Ui @Momastery @MarieForleo @GilbertLiz "Mother’s Day IS about Love. But it’s not about commercial, comfortable love that snuggles up and stays home—it’s about love that throws open the door and marches out of our homes, beyond our fences and neighborhoods and into the hurting world to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless, comfort the hurting, mother the motherless. Mother’s Day love is dangerous, revolutionary love that unites our one human family and reminds us that we belong to each other and that there is no such thing as other people’s children." 🌸
