Istmia
Istmia es un sustantivo genitivo que significa «del istmo». Generalmente se refiere al sitio donde se celebraban los famosos Juegos Ístmicos cerca de Corinto en el istmo, un lugar de reunión natural para muchos griegos y viajeros. La Istmia de la Antigüedad fue uno de los grandes santuarios panhelénicos de Grecia y fue sede de los Juegos Ístmicos (fundados en el 584 a.C.), por lo tanto, tuvo una importancia especial durante los períodos griego y romano, y sus festivales atléticos y religiosos ocuparon el segundo lugar en importancia después de los de Olimpia.

Isthmia
Isthmia est un nom propre qui signifie "de l'isthme". Il désigne généralement le site où se déroulèrent les célèbres Jeux isthmiques, près de Corinthe, sur l'isthme. Un lieu de rassemblement naturel pour de nombreux Grecs et voyageurs. Dans l'Antiquité, Isthmia était l'un des grands sanctuaires panhelléniques de Grèce et accueillait les Jeux isthmiques (fondés en 584 avant J.-C.). Il revêtit donc une importance particulière tout au long des périodes grecque et romaine, ses fêtes athlétiques et religieuses n'étant dépassées que par celles d'Olympie.
