i was at book 7. which is around chapter 70ish. and the webtoon is a 280+ chapters 😭

The whole glass half-full glass half-empty as a metafor for optimism and pessimism is so stupid. Like? it's both? half of the stupid glass has water and the other half has air. It's that easy. If you only see it one way or the other, you aren't an optimist or a pessimist, you're just stupid. Like ignoring different parts of the same thing just isn't productive. Like I get in different life situations it's good to foucus on either the good or the bad, but the half-empty part of the glass isn't even bad. It's just air. Nothing. Zero isn't a negative. Like your glass doesn't have a newly discovered physically existing negative space. Just neutral. Like, say you have money, sure having a bucket full of money would be nicer than having a bucket half-full of money, so you think of it as not having a full bucket of money, but you can't really be in debt in this, which is just not realistic.
