I can't believe watching bojack horseman has made me want to give a hug to a could've been rapist could've been groomer
And sometimes I don't always know why but then i remember that it's because I just want bojack to be better, because I know he wants that too, and he had a shitty childhood which I relate to, and he knows why that makes everything he does hurt even more.
This is the mindset his own friends who suffer from him have. They keep their distance while making sure bojack gets better and stays alive at the same time. It's really sweet, all without sugarcoating it.
