Ok I know I just gave you all a fic rec like yesterday but I'm back at it lol. It's called Two Steps Forward, One Step Back by MoonLitShores. It's scarian, because I love them, and is currently 28k words. This is still a wip, but only has one chapter left. Basic summary is scar and grian have been dating for a while (years actually, uhhhh) but no one knows, and the fic follows them getting revealed and everyone's reactions, along with grian and scars feelings about said relationship.

This fic is so sweet, it's hurt/comfort but like in perfect combination. It's gunuinly tooth rotting fluff but also has some hard hitting scenes and moments that did make me cry. Bro I feel like I'm becoming a softie I never use to cry over stories lol. Anyway, yeh Its really sweet and beautiful, and is like a perfect mooshy lovey dovey fic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who did go and read the previous fic I recommend. it's just so lovely while also being very engaging and hard hitting. Yeh idk what else I can say, please read it and show it some love!

“I’m not... anything,” Claire said, staring at the empty field. Jim walked up next to her, concern in his eyes. He took one of her hands in his own and slowly brushed a finger over her knuckles.

“You’re real,” he said to her.

Claire chuckled. “No, I’m not dissociating, but thank you. I mean, I’m not a girl. I’m not a boy, either. I don’t think I’m really anything.”

Jim’s eyes widened. “Oh. Thanks for telling me. Do you want me to call you by a different name? Different pronouns?”

“I think I’ll keep my name,” Claire said, “but I’ll need to think about the other part.”
