I was pleasantly surprised a few weeks ago when the vet declared my cat was 9.13 lbs.
For as long as I've owned her, this girl has never been below 10.5, usually closer to 11. And this was despite playtime, food control, etc. Every time I went to the vet and they put her on the scale I felt really bad, because I knew what her ideal weight was supposed to be and I was already doing all the weight-loss things the vet recommended.
Honestly? I kind of gave up. I was resigned to having a chunky cat. And now she hits me with this out of the blue?!
Literally the only change is that I moved and now I live in a 2-story house instead of a little 1-bedroom apartment. More passive activity. Apparently that's all it took, was stairs. o.o
