ok so canonicaly(-ish) werewolves are made by putting a spirit into a wolf, right? Not necessarily in the "Maia" sense, it may be in the "necromantically captured dead elf" sense, right?
I raise you with "Finrod noticing the poor tormented spirit that was hanging around its dead wolf body and dragging it to Mandos with him". (Yes, yes, not literary dragging because you can't, but very intense persuasion in a non verbal / osanwe way. Kinda like, mentally Finrod's teeth are still clenched on the wolf, but now in a kind, mommy-cat-carrying her-baby kind of way. Like ... idk how to describe it, but.)
