I remember when Young Justice Dark Crisis first came out and the Bart tag was Flooded with people saying the new comic was awful, it had horrible characterizations and blatantly ignored the lore. Well after a couple of years I’ve read it and I can safely say IT WAS ASS

Truly, truly, I definitely went in with a bias but on god I could not stand this comic. 5 pages in and I was ready to stop reading. At first it feels like it was written by a YJ hater who was forced to write a story for the core 4 for the Dark Crisis event… then the rest of the comic feels like it was written by a Cassie super fan who got hired by DC official to publish their weird justification fanfic. The millennial humor, I wanted to gag. I’m gen z so maybe that’s why but wow it was so cliche written. Just insult after insult after insult to the characters and to me the reader. It almost topped Bart’s “You’re the best Mr. West!” Line from Flash vol.6, almost.
