So I’ve decided to stop being a Fake Fromsoft Fan™ and actually play Dark Souls 2, so far, to say the least, I can definitely understand why a lot of people who play more Souls games than me say it’s the worst of the bunch, but so far it’s not nearly as horrible as I’ve heard people say it is

#It just....#It has a LOT of problems #all of them are gameplay though #it has that same problem Mordhau did where it feels like everyone's fighting while submerged in syrup #and the hits don't feel impactful for whatever reason #I have no idea how it managed to feel like that worse than Dark Souls 1 did but it sure did manage that #and I SUPER don't vibe with the heals taking about eight years to finish #Half-tempted to spec into a miracle build just to see if the spells don't fuck around with that super slow gradual heal nonsense #the hitboxes feel less polished and everything feels sticky #I'm trying to keep an open mind though #but from a purely lore perspective I'm liking it so far #I like Benhart's voice he seems fun #and I think the little detail of NPCs having different dialogue if you hit the Leave button vs just walk away is really cool #I like Maughlin as a character I'm curious to see what his deal is #the blacksmith's got a very nice voice and I think he's neat #so far it's just like #it's fine #it's alright #I definitely have my fair share of annoyances but it's not like #overwhelmingly horrible or whatever other shit I've heard about it #Either way it crashed to desktop just now so I've taken that as a sign to go to bed #Pun's text Posts
