#are y’all familiar with the word ‘motif?’#it not #if a repetitive symbol pattern or style used in art #and typically #artists have motifs in almost all of their art pieces #meaning there are certain things that they always incorporate #and these motifs are important because it’s typically how we identify an art piece to an artists #even without knowing who they are #as they are usually very unique to the artists

your muse can have a physical ailment/disability, but that can’t be the only thing they have

your muse can have a skill, but that can’t be the only thing they have

your muse can have a lack of a skill, but that can’t be the only thing they have

your muse can be mentally ill, but that can’t be the only thing they are

your muse can be obsessive, but that can’t be the only thing they are

give. your. muses. life! even if something feels all consuming to them, it can’t be their only trait when you portray them. all people have multiple hobbies. all people have multiple traits to themselves. all people have more than their depression/anxiety/etc.

all these things are wonderful to portray and represent, but they need to be people beyond those things to make that representation beautiful.
