People need to stop telling me "don't mess with that, it's dead, you're not going to be able to revive this one" about deceased insects and small animals, when I have a 100% success rate for making them no-longer dead.
Just this morning, my mother was about to throw away a caterpillar that had been at the bottom of the dog's water bowl all night, and nearly refused to give it to me because it was SO CLEARLY dead.
I revived it in less than ten minutes. Felt the moment life returned to him. He is fine now, and currently burrowing into one of my potted plants. đ«¶
(I try not to even entertain that I could be making these creatures 'undead', as opposed to giving them a second chance at life... Because that would be very upsetting, and I would be genuinely horrified. I've been doing this since I was a tiny child, and I really want to believe I'm helping.)
