Am I contractually obligated to have "a family member's grave was reportedly desecrated by groypers after he left AF" to my Jaden lore post?
Nightwing (2011) issue #30
Okay!
So I was rewatching Good Omens and I found a little something that made my brain and heart melt.
So in the second episode, Crowley and Aziraphale go to the church where the babies were swapped right? And Aziraphale was like "you sure this is the right place?" And Crowley said yes and yada yada yada.
But then!
Aziraphale
Physically stops Crowley by reaching his arm out and putting his hand on Crowleys arm
(Kinda like you do in the car to protect the person in the passengers seat)
And stops talking and says in a breathy voice "this place feels loved" and all that and the look on both of their faces!
I dont know why this stood out to me but it did and now i can't get it out of my brain.
“Never in my life have I felt this. Nothing like this. I’ve felt shame and cowardice, weakness and strength. I’ve known terror and indifference, self-hate and general disgust. I’ve seen things that cannot be unseen.
And yet I’ve known nothing like this terrible, horrible, paralyzing feeling. I feel crippled. Desperate and out of control. And it keeps getting worse. Every day I feel sick. Empty and somehow aching.
Love is a heartless bastard.
I’m driving myself insane.“ — Destroy Me, Tahereh Mafi

Rage Awake
Every ounce of our bodies was made to fight for the keeping of that precious light. But then gluttony kicks in, and it's all too much effort for someone as sick as us. Everything gets sacrificed for that most high God of comfort. Family, friends, love, all go swirling down the drain, but no one cares as long as we're entertained. Rage, rage, against the monsters of this world – tear down the machinations and see past the lies. Forget the contrived labels, forget the puppet leaders; break your chains and undo your ties. Arise and destroy the world's many idols and distractions. Why must we always be distracted – and from what? Find your inner strength, reclaim your idle mind; it's time for us to struggle awake, or die. Our sluggish race is in the throes of near death, like a crab in a pot, we are unknowingly boiled alive. Dying every day because of our refusal to care, have we lost the ability to become self-aware? When will we notice our own fatal condition? What horrors must go overlooked before we grant ourselves liberation? I tell you this now, please pay close heed: unless we Awake, we have sealed our own Fate.
"That, right there, is the difference between people like you and people like me. People like me know there is no magic. There is only the grind. Work looks like magic to those unwilling to do it. "
