As a BounPrem fan who followed the development of "Revamp" for five years, it always gives me a giggle to see interfans rage about the lack of dark, humorless grittiness and accuse GMMTV of ruining Boun's "original vision."
The first working title for "Revamp" was "My Broccoli."
So don't worry, y'all!

#pilot teasers are made purely to get sponsors to back a production#boun always said he wanted comedy in his vampire show#i totally get not vibing with a series#but the anger i've seen from interfans that revamp has comedy in it is very silly#like boun created this series from its conceptual infancy five years ago and took it into gmmtv himself#the only thing boun had nothing to do with was the novel#which was probably written based on an outline of the unfinished script#so y'know#totally cool if it's not your thing#but it IS boun's thing#and it's a brilliant series <3#i do miss the earlier days of fandom before this much toxicity became the norm#because i remember when 'my broccoli' was announced and we all kind of groaned but we were down for it#that's a big part of how bounprem grew to the level of popularity they're at now#they fostered this kind and silly and deeply appreciative atmosphere#we would have loved 'my broccoli' just as much as we love 'revamp'#because bounprem's fandom just enjoys seeing them happy after the years they've spent growing together#but where 'my broccoli' and 'vampire project' were effectively boun's#'revamp' is a collaborative labor of love that boun built with prem and sws and gmmtv#and with all that love involved#it shines#revamp the series
