The last drawing was sooooo blasted on twitter, I got called every name that would get me suspended, got told I'll burn in hell, that people like me are why some should get burn at the stake, mild death threats. Strangely, got told that it was a very ''tumblr'' intrepretation so I'm genuinely curious how people on tumblr will react...
When we got to Waimea Canyon there were these three local kids who had a flat and they were laughing but also clearly had no idea what to do about it.
My wife and I ambled over and said, “Do you guys need help?” They did.
I told them to turn the car off while my wife got the jack out of the trunk. We all four solemnly watched my wife arrange the jack and I proudly was like, “Good thing they were here cause I have no idea how to do this either.” The kids laughed and then we all resumed watching my wife crank the car upward.
The car then rolled forward and we were like. Did you set your parking brake? And the girl was like ….no but I can now. I suggested she should reverse a foot or two first so the jack would be over packed earth instead of grass.
My wife got the car up for the second time and we were all doing fine when it got to loosening the lug nuts and an older white dude ambled over. He asked if we knew what we were doing and we said yes, we just needed more oomph to get the lug nuts off.
This was a mistake because he started mansplaining the entire process to my wife, took over, and assumed they were the driver and that they had no idea what they were doing.
We tried to insist he leave by saying, “Great, we’ve got it from here,” once the lug nuts were removed and he said he’d stay and watch to make sure they did it correctly.
When my wife started tightening the lug nuts back on he jumped in and insisted they were doing it wrong and painstakingly corrected their tightening technique.
My wife was literally shaking with rage by the time he left and there was a stain on the experience as we bid goodbye to the young folks.
GIRL I WAS DOING SO WELL WATCHING EP 8
I was holding it together, being so emotionally stable
Then 'The Trooper' started playing and I started SOBBING AND I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO STOP 😭😭😭😭
Omg, babe, no, we’re not talking about canon anymore. We’re on Eddie’s balls now
But also I cried multiple times throughout the ep, idek what points specifically
This may be my lack of sleep or bias speaking but I loved the needle drop from supergirl. I was crying because I felt like Rutheye. I’ve loved supergirl since I was six years old, had my seventh birthday party outfit be a supergirl one and grew up with that love.
I’ll defend the music choice because the middle is a song that stuck with me since I first came to the states. Since I was twelve it was there when I cried my eyes out at school on a daily. Since I was thirteen and finally learning to thrive. Since I was fourteen and needing to be pulled out of school so often. Since I was fifteen and got a depression diagnosis. It was there in my playlist. A small song that made me smile and feel alive during my worst days and ground me when I wanted to tear myself apart and die on the spot.
I don’t care on the fact that it’s not the Jimmy eats world version. I don’t care that maybe call me by blonde would have been better because I felt seen. Like I was gazing upon hope after not having it for so long. To see my childhood superhero on screen after me dismissing any chance she would ever get a movie so long ago.
I love supergirl.
Yes I have genuine proof, yes I just deleted it. I need to find a better picture
yes, dropout captions team. i agree.
Berry is happy to tell you that we both survived the heat wave (up to 40⁰C):
