Wait, what was that discourse with the trigger tags about, if you're comfortable explaining? Because I was in the fandom at the time but I completely missed all that, it just seemed like suddenly everyone was saying to stop using them.

with the chubby logan thing? the issue was that is was kind of just like.. poorly approached, in my opinion. It wouldn't have been a problem i don't think if it was like "please tag chubby!logan" or "chubby!sides" it was sort've brought to the attention of everyone to tag the body type in general? so a lot of people were uncomfortable that it was being said their personal body types was called a trigger, like the sight of someone overweight was upsetting? There were arguments on both sides, but it just got really uncomfortable for a lot of people. and it kinda just blew over eventually. The post talking originating it also specifically called out two people when they did so, so it just made it worse.

#today i watched my grandpa (my dad's dad) cry because he misses my other grandpa (my mom's dad)#my other grandpa died a year ago #amd they were super close #and today he just cried and told me he misses his best friend :(#and how they used to do everything together #and i don't remember seeing my grandpa cry like this ever since my dad died #it was.. a lot #but also so touching #to know they had such a genuine friendship #they were really different #my mom's dad was this genius physics professor #and my dad's dad didn't even finish school because he had to work #and i always kinda thought they did things together because my parents were married so they were kinda stuck with each other #and maybe that is the initial reason #but it's really sweet knowing that they were actually so close #and loved each other so much #my grandpa is a sweetheart #he really is #:'(#personal #tw death #lol this is such a random thing to share sorry 😅

So they did a clip for Hockey Day in Canada, and they showed this family who lost their home in a fire. And their son really wanted to meet Johnny, so his mother called customer service to see if there was a meet at greet. Anyway, the Flames people heard this family’s story and set up a FaceTime for this precious kid and Johnny and it was too sweet. And then Johnny got them tickets to a game, and met the little kid and basically TSN had me crying before this fucking game
