"Andrew, the unrepentant yank, is staying at his boyfriend's family vacation home in Brighton" The camera has an aerial shot of the Brighton Pier and then a gorgeous little cottage by the ocean.

The camera then cuts to Andrew making something in the kitchen. "Is that a practice bake?" one of the producers ask.

"Soup." Andrew answers, "Idiot forgot his jacket and caught a summer cold running in the rain." Andrew says.

"I'm not sick!" Comes a nasally voice from another room.

Andrew just rolls his eyes.

"That's quite a collection of cook books on the shelf." another producer comments as the camera zooms in on a whole slew of blurred titles.

"It's Neil's uncle's place. He's the one who has every Mary Berry cookbook." He moves the pot off the stove, "Can you leave?" he asks with a frown.

I think it would be fascinating if Earthspark Megatron was still built specifically to lead the Decepticons, because what if they, more miltary style frames like in G1, were treated more second class and tightly controlled like CCs and others in IDW and he saw the similarities between their position and those like Beastformers and others and rose up to lead like that but from the Might Makes Right, Peace Through Tyranny perspective. In G1 Decepticons and Autobots went through several wars with one side ruling the other more and were pretty culturally different.

Then by interacting with Dot, another military type he got to see a social context and compassion that was lacking in his much more cutthroat upbringing in a way he was familiar with and able to contextualize as it wasn't as foreign as say the more civilian Autobot cultural perspectives.

Also ties into Shockwave being "for our glory" because that was an understandable Decepticon value that Megatron probably also spoke from. Considering Shockwave looks like a movable turret, I feel like he didn't become a scientist until after the war and he was from probably a similar place to Megatron.

Oooo!

That's gotta turn out so interesting because Megs must've had such a culture shock moment, especially since it's mentioned that the reason Megs swapped sides was because Dot "showed more compassion to his own troops than he did" which I kinda hope includes Thundercracker (I doubt it's any of the mecha we saw in the show already?? And that'd be one hell of an opportunity.) because if I'm right it's implied she helped a downed decepticon.
