I will never understand people who believe that Rhaenys wanted Baela to succeed Corlys just out of hatred for the Velaryon boys. Like- does this look like a woman consumed by anger and hatred? Does it look like a woman motivated purely out of spite?

She has plenty of reasons to want Baela to inherit over Laenor. PLENTY. She has plenty of motivation that has diddly-squat to do with her personal feelings towards the boys. I could literally bullet point them - big or small, emotional or political, logical or illogical, she has reasons.
