I'm back on the cancer train!

My last scan caught a small lesion on my liver. This isn't completely unexpected. Once you get to stage 4 with cancer, there are often cancer cells wandering around, looking for a place to settle down. Cancer whack-a-mole is not uncommon.

So once more into the breach. I'll find out Friday how my liver surgeon wants to approach this.

BUT! I got a job as an on-call library clerk today which may actually be the perfect thing to get me out of the house on occasion if the cancer treatment isn't too wacky. If I get ablation, where they blast the tumour with the heat of 1000 suns (more or less), than occasional work might be fine. We shall see.

Anyhow, this is making me think of my cancer less as a have it/don't have it thing and more like having a chronic disease that I have to continually manage. That's not an unhealthy mental shift at all.
