coming back from the dead to upload my design for q!ashswag :3 design notes under da cut

i've recently been inspired by how much thought + care goes into the details of a bunch of gacha games and i decided to try my hand at it !!!

in terms of silhouette, i tried to keep in line with this dictator!ash design by frizzmcwizz, but adding more indo-western influences it since ash is clearly very proud of his culture, as well as staying consistent with qsmp as a whole

in terms of what he's wearing, he's wearing a sherwani, a kashmir shawl, with pants inspired by this suit from rahul mishra. he's also wearing some mojaris as well !!!

and he's wearing his hair in a braid with marigolds in it, as well as having henna and assorted jewelry to add visual interest :) i also decided to add some white streaks w/ his curly hair so kinda give off the impression of smoke (heh. ash), as well as the little glitch things flying in the wind to give the design some movement, cus my idea is that his shawl and hair would fly in the wind like a wisp of smoke ^_^ also i don't know how clear it reads but i also tried to give him some super dramatic smokey eye makeup + eyebags as well !!! i couldn't add as many techwear elements as i would have hoped but overall i'm happy w this design and can't wait 2 make more qsmp designs ^_^ it was fun researching everything !!!

a little sumia-centric comic i thought about at work today.

jenn and i were joking that sumia needs kneepads or a parachute because of her clumsiness... and i felt like frederick was a good addition bc he’s the first mounted unit i could think of so early in the game (other than stahl and sully!)
