Since I can't get Uchiha Itachi out of my head, Imma just drop this real quick
Rant-dom Headcannon of the day (Naruto Edition):
After he had been slain by his beloved little brother Sasuke, Uchiha Itachi felt lighter than he could remember. Depleted of all his strength, Death is gentle, like his mother's voice as she lulled him to sleep. It is firm, like the pride of his father despite Itachi's sword at his back. For all the years he had lived in uncertainty, Itachi had finally reached truth- that life does end, and he is no exception.
He watched as his frail, limp body hits the ground, the eyes that were so coveted and feared mirror the storm brewing above. Empty gray witnesses to destruction. They no longer had the power to change the wind, no command over where lightning should strike, no eternal black flames to scorch hatred upon the world. His Sharingan was no more useful than the shuriken and kunai scattered across their battleground. And as bleak as it sounded, Itachi preferred to be among them, because then he didn't feel so alone.
