throwback to when my extended family thought it was my personal fault that my dad had a haemorrhagic stroke because i "spent all his money at university"
(i indeed did not spend all his money, in fact my parent's haven't ever helped me financially bc poor, AND i receive the maximum hardship grant available)
this is the final boss of eldest daughter syndrome icl
'there's some specific ass machines' thoughts watching a watch restoration video with my dad
I've been researching various creation gods and goddesses, and seriously? Some religions have truly disgusting versions of creation. A whole bunch of them include semen. One has a god sweating out his children. And I've just read about a goddess who created the seas when she had a miscarriage- her amniotic fluids filled the oceans. Consider me well and truly grossed out.

Do you ever just take a look at Law and realize how fucking deep Doflamingo's influence goes? (Asides from some quotes and skewed morals & manipulation.)
I already find it interesting that they both have Devil Fruits that they both use mostly with their hands -- a nice parallel Oda has given us -- and while I'm not certain whether Ope Ope no Mi could be used by other means than the way Law does, it still shows some deeper level of influence that Law figured to use his Fruit that way. (And Doflamingo does use his Fruit with other limbs as well, but he uses mainly his hands. Easier that way. Doesn't require complicated set-up.)
Both of these above gestures could very well be from Doflamingo, although Doflamingo's joints certainly seem more prone to... doing something very weird. (Possibly more so in the anime, since Toei does its own... thing.)
The above image featuring both Law and Doflamingo might not be acceptable example, since both are moving and so on, but here too it's noticeable how Law's fingers shift to that familiar stance seen (for example) in the pic from Sabaody's battle.
It seems like the main focus in Doflamingo's stance is on the middle finger whereas Law's seems to be his forefinger(s), but there's no doubt where he has learned this gesture, and it seems unthinkable he would consciously mimic Doflamingo at this stage of life.
Doflamingo's influence over Law has been considerable, and it's almost fascinating how deep that just goes -- all the way down to Law's gestures.
Also, Sabaody Law's movements vs Doflamingo's.
It's almost eerie.
Probably all of this has been said before by people who are better at noticing this stuff, so eh. Have this regardless.
i feel like i spend an abnormal amount of time researching amputation for a girl who still currently has all of her limbs....
Somehow I ended up on Wikipedia reading about the history of Liechtenstein
