Daily ramblings of my pmd goobers :3 (specifically Alize and my thoughts on hisuian zoroark)

Something about my pmd hero, Alize, is the fact that she's only half ghost

Basically, the fact that she's almost died before in the Paralyzed Future and had been around Pax for multiple years before she got thrown into the present (literally) kinda left a lasting effect

This means, that she has the ghost typing without actually dying, and for other (actual) ghost types, she always feels like she's got one foot in the grave but definitely still alive

And besides being erased from time and space there for a bit, she essentially has a get out of jail free card for dying due to this status

If she did happen to die (without getting her soul stolen or eaten), she would eventually get back up as a full ghost type

I've actually put a lot of thought into it, but how long it takes for her to 'get back up' depends on the how and why she died

Like, in the case where she was murdered, it wouldn't take long at all for her to put herself back together and most likely return the favor

But if it was something more akin to an accident, like a cave in, or unfortunate run in with a trap in a dungeon, it would definitely take longer for her to come back

How damaged the body is is also part of it because in my headcanon for zoroarks, if they turn into hisuian zoroark, they keep the body they died in, basically possessing it which is why they're ghost normal for typing

The more damaged the body, the longer its going to take before its in some semblance of working order again and they can get back to 'living'

Of course this is scary as shit to most people who don't know that and go to visit that one poor pokemon's grave that they buried, only to find it empty with evidence that it was the pokemon that was definitely dead that dug themselves out

And they aren't going to look pretty either, they're essentially zombies until the souls fully settle into their old bodies again, they're just repaired enough to *move*, as the soul settles the rest of the damage is fixed slowly as they wander, it's not really recommended to try and interact with them in that state since they'll be hungry and almost feral as they recover

Alize would be a bit different, as her ghost side was strongly influenced by being around Pax, so definitely a lot less aggressive, but she will try and steal food until she's recovered

She would also try to lead the lost back home, which is just a side effect of Pax being a dusknoir and how they lead lost souls

Anyway! I just think it's neat and I hope you guys agree :3

i made a change to afh that fixed the only problem i've had with this book so far and we are back to writing 1k words in a sitting. i did not get to 20k yesterday because it was 92° (33°c) here and i about lost my mind trying not to get sick but we're back in business now!!
