I will say it is somewhat frustrating to get lambasted by transphobes for my analysis of Spamton as trans, which I expected, but then to come back to fandom spaces and have people insist that by reading Spamton as trans somehow in the story I'm ruining, usurping, or undermining the other trans characters.

#this is gonna sound so sad and parasocial of me but #it's like you don't realize how lonely you are until it changes #it's like...#in my final term of university my roommates (best friends) graduated before me. and i used to go on long walks alone and listen to audio-#-books. and i listened to the golden compass and thought it must be nice to have a companion like that. and i made up a daemon that would-#-always be by my side. and she went on walks with me. she was a small wildcat and her name was ambrosia. and i thank her for being there-#-for me. but it wasn't until i graduated and moved back home that i realized how terribly lonely i was #and for the past couple of years i've spent a lot of time walking around going to work with a stuffed animal. i have a weighted cheetah-#-that i would prop on my hip like a baby. and i have this baby blanket that has the head of a bear and i would lay it on my lap. and i'm-#-not as lonely as i was in uni and i don't have to be sad to want comfort and to feel something soft. but it's like i don't feel that tiny-#-hole in my heart so much anymore.#you don't know me but you do. and i don't know you but i love you.#idk. i've just felt like i'm a better person recently. i'm making friends and i'm making art and i'm being brave and i'm being kind #sometimes that's enough. sometimes it's enough to go to bed happy. sometimes it's enough to wake up and be excited to be awake. sometimes-#-it's enough to love and be loved #mmi

#genuine question#is there always this much nortrell content??????? Tbh i joined early 2022, just after the peak roommates era, and i fear the answer is generally yes (especially on breaks). sometimes there are periods of content droughts where they take their gaming/hanging out off stream for whatever reason (but we know it's still happening through various throwaway remarks in discord convos), or during the season when lando locks in and stops bringing his gaming laptop on weekends so actual gaming gets more rare.

getting this ask feels a bit like staring down the barrel of a gun and the thing that's about to die is my free time. i figured there'd be periods of drought though so that's kind of a relief lmao
