why does the House fandom have to use #it's never lupus as their tag. it drowns out the posts in the #lupus tag made by actual people with lupus who want to find community. lupus is a rare disease and House fans outnumber us 10,000:1 so our posts get buried by House posts. living with lupus is already isolating and it's only worse when a large fandom decides to make your disease's tag part of their fandom tag.

sometimes I feel like House fans forget that there are real IRL people who have lupus and it's not just funny medical drama disease. I'm so tired of inappropriate, unfunny "it's never lupus" jokes when I tell someone I have lupus. I am a real person with lupus, not a character in your TV show. lupus has destroyed my body and my lupus is refractory meaning that it's not responding well to treatment. I don't find it cute when I talk about something that is killing me and I'm met with jokes about a TV show that I don't even watch.

putting this in the House tags because I honestly think some of you need the reminder that there are actual people with lupus and the disease wasn't made up for House.

Au in crystalized where Jay gets into a motorcycle accident and it's extremely bad and he's stuck for 12+ hours and he has a punctured lung where his broken rib fell in on itself but it's in a state where it's blocking most of the blood from pouring in but blood is still getting in so Jay is stuck and coughing up blood and gradually getting worse. Then Kai realises after wu sends them the location of their base that jay hasn't turned up so he goes out looking and finds Jay in that state and takes him back to base where he's very badly hurt and dying and the only way to help him is by divine intervention so by the end of the season when they turn into dragons it helps prolong jay's death enough so the Elemental dragon can fix the hole in his lung and happy ending but jay still has fucked ribs.

In the never realm Jay parts from Nya and cole on the mountain to go help Kai and falls down the mountain and then gets a punctured lung and rib sticking through (same condition) and Kai has to look after him . Then boreal comes and cole Nya Kai and (creature??) have to help jay to the Land bounty . When Kai defeats boreal Nya and cole decide to leave him with jay in the land bounty and go to get Zane.

When Zane figures out Jay is hurt he rushes over (just after remembering stuff. He still doesn't have all his memories.) and he figures he needs to remove the rib from Jay's lung so he stops coughing up blood. He does that (don't ask me how he just shifted it without tearing skin) and then has a horrible realisation that no. That was not a good idea afterwards and jay started actually spewing blood and fucking dies . The end
