BASICALLY,,,,,,, i started out with eleanor winters' calligraphy for kids. whether or not you are a kid i very highly recommend.

now im more using lloyd reynolds' italic calligraphy and handwriting, and dick jackson's copperplate calligraphy for italic and copperplate respectively.

for blackletter i mostly look up refs online but occasionally use george bickham's universal penman.

the great thing abt calligraphy is that its super easy to improve even if ur doing it casually! just adorn this or that whenever u feel like and in a while you'll be much improved. it's a great way to while away 15 minutes or something. it's also a pretty cheap hobby!
