I think top/bottom discourse is hilarious (as long as no one gets any hate over it) bc it just proves how extremely subjective the fandom experience is. It doesn't matter if you think a certain character is top or bottom bc you can always find "proof" in canon. And it's 100% linked to those yaoi stereotypes that are supposedly toxic now. I did read a very interesting take that the person's favorite character is the bottom bc that's who you self insert with (whether consciously or not). But always, without fail, position in bed is always linked to personality...

I've already gotten questions about who will top in the sun within me and i now fear writing a full smut scene for it😂 as if i'd decided that already🤣

My hot take, a very controversial and 100% personal preference, is that both naruto and sasuke are bottoms and unfortunately i must force one of them to top anytime i want to write smut😔 why? They're both equally dramatic and no one that dramatic could ever be a top😔😔😔

Either charasuke is straight in rtn bc sasuke is gay, or the diff is that sasuke is in the closet by ignoring women and pretending he's too cool for romance and charasuke is simply over compensating by flirting with all women all the time 😌

Tobirama

His name was probably the most important change to him. It took him a long time to choose it, and he went through a few trial names before he brainstormed with all of his siblings and decided on Tobirama.

There was some time where he thought he might be NB, and went by they/them pronouns. Though NB wasn't his forever home in gender he still is very fond of the NB community, and fiercely protective of them.

His outfits actually didn't change all that much when he finally settled on trans masc, so he didn't feel the thrill of shopping for his new gender - but it doesn't mean he didn't feel a thrill over discovering himself anyway

He has a habit of talking to his plants and pets, and the first time he called himself their Papa out loud he cried because it just felt so right

All of his friends and family were extremely supportive of him, and did their best for him

Madara (modern HC)

Goes by Ze/Zir pronouns

Feels mostly agendered most days. Sometimes ze feels...almost like the ghost of an understanding of what having a gender might be like? But for the most part ze doesn't really vibe with any genders

Ze absolutely teared up when zir's best friend, Hashirama, ended up researching NB in his typical "overboard or bust" manner in an effort to support zim. Punched Hashi in the arm. Lovingly.

Attended zir's first pride because Izuna kept going to them, and eventually ze grumpily joined. Got an NB flag painted onto zir's grumpy cheek. Ze was reluctant to ever wash it off

"Nearly" isn't really correct because by the time i wrote the first few chapters i think i'd already scrapped/forgotten it. I considered typing it all up and posting it here but honestly... idk if i'll survive the embarrassment 😂 you'll all lose what little respect you have for me lmao.

Incredibly enough i woke up to a review that said it's unrealistic that so many of the rtn characters are gay and that it seemed almost as if the fic has some crack elements to it. Little do they know it was supposed to be 100% crack (and even more gay). Idk how many of the ppl reading the story have watched the rtn movie but... it's incredibly silly at times. And that was my inspiration, so *shrugs*

Just living in denial to the point it gets ridiculous. Like "aww you two are so cute together" "uh no we barely tolerate each other" and everyone thinks they're joking but they're not. They just have zero self awareness. They live together and spend holidays together, call each other's moms, probably adopt a cat together, yes maybe they are also friends with benefits, emphasis on friends, it's just too much work to find one-night-stands in this economy
