The Journey Continues... De Padova!

Just when I thought I got a glimpse of this “Interior Design” experience, we head to De Padova. Walking into the entrance of the showroom, I knew this day cannot get any better! Moving into Italian made “furniture” De Padova’s showroom displayed the similar philosophy as Boffi, and the Italian goods in general: “Quality, Functionality, and Design”. Their important stance in quality is portrayed from the entrance of the showroom until the exit. Entering the showroom, I really enjoyed looking at how the showroom’s entrance was designed, it showed that there was a lot of time, effort and consideration put not only into the products De Padova creates and sells, but also in the location they are presenting their products. I tried to compare furniture stores such as Crate and Barrel, William Sonoma, Arhaus, and Bo Concept... stores that I have visited in the States and can really see a difference in how products are displayed. Of course I have also equated how these brands themselves see themselves, as some costs less and with that being said would not present themselves the way De Padova does. Yet, I can still see a difference in how such companies view themselves, and how they present themselves to their customers. De Padova does a great example in making the customer feel at home and important. It creates this soft of environment, that the customer wishes they would live in which also equates to this idea of functionality in their designs. 

It was enlightening to get the chance to look at the table of thoughts, sketches and brainstorms which gives this complete idea of how such designs were produced. I am the type of person who enjoy and appreciate to see the process of end products, it gives me a sense of greater appreciation and history towards the products adding even greater value in my perception as a customer and/or designer. 

Again, thank you for this EXPERIENCE! Once in a life time!
