Depression CAN be helped

So today is my birthday but that is not why I am writing this post, I am writing this post for something that happened two years ago on my birthday.

So two years ago me and some friends were out celebrating my birthday and as we were walking past the docks we seen a girl standing looking down into the water. Curious we approached and as we got near the girl warned if we got closer she would jump. I proceeded to tell her what could happen if she jumped. When I told her she could die, she said “Good death would be better than staying alive.” I then said think about the consequences if you die, you do not only take away your life you take away a lot of others. I said “Your mother would hear this news from the police and then would start to think that she had done wrong in your upbringing and not know why you had done it and then she would not be able to leave the house because everywhere she looked she saw her baby girl. Your father would sink to the ground and then slowly turn toward the drink to get away from the pain and slowly lose his job providing your family with no income. Your little brother who looks up to you will not fully understand it and start misbehaving in school to get noticed by parents who cannot see anything but their little girl anymore.”

I then asked her to think about her best friends life because everyday when she went to school she would hear a funny story and turn to tell you about it and the remember, you’re gone, she won’t see you again, hear your laugh and every other detail that she loves about you.

Each time I told her, I inched a little closer and she sunk lower and lower to the ground until I was next to her and pulled her into a hug and whispered “You don’t only take your life you take everyone’s around you too.”

Now two years later she is someone’s girlfriend and celebrating their birthday with him her scars now long forgotten about.

Remember one word can change a life.

The rain has stopped!

It has been raining and flooding for three days here in Sydney, apparently the worst ‘storm’ we’ve had in 10 years and it has FINALLY stopped raining long enough to see blue sky!  YAY!!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful day/night - if you need advice or just a friend to talk to we’re always here <3 xx

Update!

Hey everyone! It’s been waay too long since we’ve posted properly but we’re back!

We can’t even begin to explain all the new experiences we’ve had in the past year. We’re now 2 years out of high school and studying/working and so super busy all the time

buuut we want to give our blog a makeover! change things up a bit and post more often, maybe have some motivational mondays and school/boy/life advice?

You're not made of roses and your lungs aren't filled with the galaxies' stars for God-sake stop reacting to situations as though the ground is going to split open and drag you under. Just love. You're not going to find a Romeo, they just don't exist and why would you want to? What happened there? They both died! You're going to die one day to so you better start living now. Take a bubble bath, take 10. Get a tattoo, a piercing, go skydiving or quad biking, stop worrying about that boy that's not worrying about you, he's not worth it. Just go out and live, sneak out, watch the sunrise, go on a road trip. Stop waiting for a tomorrow that might never arrive. Live in the now!
