The last time we went out as a group, we were still required to use face shields. That feels like a long time ago. We were still missing a few from our group, but that's how adult life works. It will be a real miracle if everyone's available on the same day.
Italliani's for starters. Pizza and pastas, for merienda! Instead of ordering as a group, we decided to get what we individually wanted then we'll do the sharing instead. I have a very low-tolerance in spicy food, so all pasta that has chili flakes on the ingredients are officially off the choices. I was left with lasagna. Way to go try something different, huh?
WE DIDN'T ROAM AROUND THE MALL! Just after italliani's we went straight to Starbucks. As the only person who doesn't drink coffee in the group, I ordered my usual strawberries and cream.
Here's where we finally adjusted to being apart, and did the catching up part. We talked about how we were these past few months. Jobs, goals, family, and Love. Everything that we can think of, we talked about.
We were supposed to go home by Dinner time. But, we still wanted to hang around for a bit. So instead of boarding the train going back to our house, we boarded the train for me to go back home. To my original home. We went singing and a whole lot of talking.
Then reality really sinks in, we're growing up fast. Too fast. We're still young at hearts, but the weight of all responsibility ahead of us, makes our hearts tired.
I got to hug my friends today. I thought I am giving them what they needed, but turned out, I needed that too.
It's almost midnight, but we're still hesitant to go our separate ways. So we decided- KFC!!!
Midnight snacks, before midnight. Comfort food, fastfood chains! The food our palates are accustomed to.
It was tiring, and my social battery would need to be recharged for the whole week. But my heart is definitely full. Not a core memory unlocking full, but full nevertheless.
