Angel never liked New York City, but had always been drawn back. She knew it like the back of her hand by this point in her life. The most important thing she knew was all the places that would give her free food if she looked haggard enough, including one small coffee shop that most people wouldn’t look twice at.
As she walked in, the doorbell above the door rang. There was one other person there, a large man. He seemed off, but Angel didn’t take too much notice. She hoped he couldn’t smell the air of the forest on her.

"I guess I will make a note of that Do you want a customer service form?”
“You think this is funny. Yeah. It’s so fucking hilarious. Y’know right now, you’re just proving my whole point. You and all the other doctors don’t care about anyone but themselves. You can say all about how you wouldn’t have chose this job if you didn’t care. Yeah well that’s bullshit! You think you’re so goddamn superior of everything. Why? Why do you think that? Because you run around in ‘nice’ clothes? Because you have the control everyone else here would kill and die for?”
Fang shook his head and walked back to Ari’s side of the table, setting his plate down next to the Erasers and pressing quick peck to his cheek. “I knew I’d be seeing you naked eventually right? Besides as much as I love you, food is always the number one spot in my heart.”
Moving to his chair, he slid into his spot, hand resting against the Eraser’s thigh as the two of them ate their meal. “Speaking of loving you, let me know what you want for our anniversary okay? I know it’s not for a little while still but you know how prepared I like to be.”

((Gonna do this for Faya since I spend most of these posts on Fari anyways))
1. Whoever didn’t cook, cleans up the dishes.
2. Keep lost or molted feathers out of common areas and don’t keep them lying around.
3. Don’t talk about issues with the family while they’re over or after work.
4. Shirts and shoes aren’t required, especially after sparring practice.
5. The bird kid with the job gets to shower first (looking at you Fang) [Wake up earlier then].
6. TV remote switches every night. If your show isn't on during your night, it gets recorded.
7. During weekly cleaning, check the house for microphones and cameras.
8. Don’t open the door without warning the rest of the house first.
9. Blankets are to be shared during cuddling with the bigger blanket going to the person without control of the remote.
10. The house is a safe space, free from the kind of issues caused by the outside world. That means neither of us discuss work policies unless it’s a serious issue that threatens either or both of us.
“You’d be surprised how much I’ve been betrayed.” Angel’s gaze never left her hands as she replied. Her hair hung in front of her face. It acted as a barrier between the two; Angel was too scared to look up.
