Do you ever just listen to Thanks for Waiting by Fighting For Ithaca and have so many memories from forever ago? Love this album so much. Can't believe how much they've grown since then
Best headline ever? We think so.
Back in November of 1951, some Ithacan writers were saddened when they had to deal with a full weekend of events in decidedly crummy weather. They filed this excellent report.
Marianas Trench---Fighting For Ithaca
honestly guys it's weird how different meeting Marianas Trench and Fighting For Ithaca was. Like, I love each band equally, but meeting them was sooo different.
And honestly? Meeting Marianas Trench was like a dream come true. They've been my sanctuary almost. Listening to their music, hearing their stories, I don't know, it gives me a sense of security. They make me feel safe. And meeting them was amazing, but it wasn't like meeting FFI was. I couldn't hang out with them and have a big ass conversation or anything like that. which really sucks And when I met Fighting For Ithaca, it was like meeting a best friend for the first time. We hung out for hours, made jokes and real memories. it was amazing. And the fact that I was brave enough to tell them that they make me truly happy. I was able to tell Phil and Curtis that their band, their music, every time I hear it, I can smile, and know my life's pretty good. they make me happy, and hanging out with them and seeing them in real life and who they really are truly makes the fact they make me happy real. So those two bands, both give me different reactions, and feelings an everything. But I love each equally, and seeing them both live less than 30 days apart is amazing. I don't think I'd be anywhere without the support and love I have for them. <3 Trencher and Ithacan for life<3
I guess you can start to call me an Ithacan now... ;-)
