So I recorded an interview with BBC today about my experiences of sexual harassment as a disabled women. Disabled women are more than twice as likely to experience sexual harassment and assault... and yet we so very rarely talk about that when we talk about things like the me too movement. By talking about it, we can work towards it no longer happening. It’s an uncomfortable subject to discuss, and it’s uncomfortable to hear. But surely that discomfort tells us we know it’s wrong? Surely it tells us to work towards a future where it’s stopped? So even though it’s uncomfortable, I’ll talk. I just hope people will listen, and learn. #saraheverard #metoo #itneedstostop https://www.instagram.com/p/CNI5OkmB88v/?igshid=1mb8sgtgzpptc
