hey I wanna read your frequency fic but I only vaguely know what the deal is with thaddeus. he's barts evil clone or something? Will I be super lost?

i like to recommend reading through the Mercury Falling arc of Impulse 1995 (issue #62-66) since Frequency is something of a spiritual sequel to that arc! it has the bulk of the context for Thad and where he's coming from. (there's also a scattering of references to other comics throughout the fic which are cited in the author's notes of each chapter if you want to check them out, but they don't have quite as much narrative weight)

however! there's been a couple commenters who've told me they've never read a Flash or Impulse comic before and still seemed to enjoy the story/get it through context!

the cliffsnotes on Thad is that he is Bart's evil clone, grown in a laboratory by Bart's maternal grandfather/Thad's namesake Thaddeus Thawne, and trained to be superior to Bart in every way. Thad fully buys into the Thawne narrative and is intent on destroying Bart and his family, until he swaps places with Bart, stealing his identity, and then gets to spend a few weeks living Bart's life. Where people are nice to him and appreciate him and think he's cool and Thad is baffled by how much he likes it. After a final climactic confrontation in the speedforce where Thad tries to kill Bart's mentor Max Mercury and can't, Thad runs away, cursing the names of the people who made him.

but yeah highly recommend a minimum reading of Mercury Falling, although you can probably enjoy Frequency on its own as well

Demon Fam AU started with the basic premise that “Madarame, Shido, and Okumura sold their kids’ souls to Satanael for profit” and then it sort of expanded from there into a giant mess of an AU

There’s no main fic because honestly that’d be too complicated but there are several ficlets set in that AU and a Google Doc with all the details pertinent to the Persona 3-5 casts which should be enough to understand the fics

1. Hi! I'm looking for a fic and all I can remember of it is a scene towards the end (i think??) where Crowley is putting too many sugars or salts into his x coffee for the day and then chokes after Aziraphale times something bastard he says for when Crowley drinks and the waitress is vindicated. 2. hey!! I read this one fic on ao3 about a week ago and forgot to save it and I’ve been searching for it forever. It takes place after Armageddon and basically aziraphale is essentially cursed by Gabriel so that he can never actually admit his feelings to Crowley and tries everything he can to make it obvious I fr cannot find it ~anon

3. Hi, I wonder if you can help to find this fic? It was a through-the-ages one. They started to make out early on, I remember a drunken groping in Rome, some heated kissing in the Globe, and a 10/10 sex scene in the Bentley after Crowley saved Aziraphale and his books in '41.(Aziraphale miracled a safety bubble around themselves so they werent seen) There was some angst there, but with a happy ending. I was wondering if you could help me find a fic where Crowley would take naps at the bookshop and would start slipping into nightmares, but Aziraphale would bless him to have him dreams of whatever he liked best, and I remember Crowley would smile and say Aziraphale’s name as he dreamed, and I think there may be a love confession at the end. You... you know why and when queen is in good omens, right? It's the Bentley. The book says that any CD left in a car for more than 2 weeks becomes a Best of Queen album, so the queen bits are all when the Bentley is around

Yes! I do. I love that’s the foundation of that “running gag” that is way more than just a cheeky joke, I feel like the music is the driving force (no pun intended) of a huge part of the narrative, not acting merely as soundtrack. 

But since you bring up “the Queen bits are all when the Bentley is around”, I’m going to take a moment to mention one of my favorite scenes in the show and, if I remember correctly, the only one that breaks the diegetic source of Queen music: You’re My Best Friend plays in the Bentley and then, as Crowley walks in the bookshop, it carries on in the record player. A record player that wasn’t playing before the fire, and that picks up the tune perfectly so. It solidifies the meaning and the depth of that song and that scene. Maybe, it even doesn’t break the Queen-only-plays-in-the-Bentley rule: maybe it’s internal diegetic, maybe it’s Queen balad for your lover and friend playing over and over in Crowley’s head. 

(I could really go on and on about the perfect use of Queen for the show if I’m not stopped)
