How do you think Essik and Molly would interact if Molly was still alive and they met?

Oh boy, I have a lot of feelings for Essik and Molly, bc I am a crackship disaster. I also have a lot of feelings for Essik/Caleb/Molly, bc I am also a sucker for polyships. 

I think the interactions between our purple disasters would be quite beautiful. Mostly because they clash personalities so much, and also they would look so fucking pretty together. I love Caleb/Essik because they are quite similar in their background and that fascinates me. And I love Essik and Molly, because they are complete opposites. 

Molly doesn’t give two flying fucks about what expectations people might have for him. Yes, he cares about a certain image that he cultivates with the way he looks and acts, but most of that is to make himself more into the person he wants to be and not into something other people expect of him. 

I think Molly being so unapologatically himself and not doing what is expected of him, not caring about other people’s opinions together with his inate desire to just live in the moment and not plan for the future, or care about the past would be so fascinating for Essik. Essik dislikes his culture’s fixation on rebirth and consecution. Molly is basically living Essik’s wildest dream. Just live for the present and do the best with the time that has been given to you. 

Additionally, Essik--as we found out--is an incredibly isolated, socially awkward individual, whereas Molly thrives on being around people. He might not be smooth or as charismatic as he sometimes pretends to be, but he loves talking to people, and to strangers, and he’s good at it! 

I think honestly Essik would just watch in awe how Mollymauk Tealeaf waltzes through life like a colorful whirlwind with no past, something that is considered a big disadvantage in Essik’s society. Molly not only has no past lives as far as he’s concerned, he also has no memories of this life’s past. 

Essik being so young and without past lives has been something of a sore spot in his life and career. Can you imagine how his people would react to someone who has a lifespan of only two years?

Plus, Essik is a magic nerd and Molly has those interesting Bloodhunter powers. 

Bonus points: Remember Essik downing that drink super fast after he was invited into the hot tub? Imagine his behavior with someone like Molly being around. Loud, throwing around sexual innuendos left and right, running through the house with just a bedsheet, proclaiming he’s a god and offering Essik grapes? 

I just love my purple disasters very much.

Anyway I’m not planning to leave tumblr, since I alway kept this blog chill and safe, and most of my art is stored here and in “Ticcyart” and I’m not stepping back just because tumblr decided to end itself with such short time. We will see what happens I guess...

Huh. My former Chinese teacher (from Shenzhen) once told us red envelopes could be given by employers to employees. She told us how at her old job they were scouring each floor asking team leaders for red envelopes till they gathered an equivalent of holiday bonus. So I thought red envelopes were more of a general gift thing. Or do I think of something else?

Aha well I-mean I don’t think there’s necessarily a rule for who should give out red envelopes. I wouldn’t be surprised if employers did that at work to be honest.

Any deeper thoughts on korrasami and diamond?

idk what diamond is but KORRASAMI. GOD. okay lok is obviously. a very flawed show. i dont agree with a lot of the writing decisions and i dont think all of it can be blamed on the network either. HOWEVER. korrasami was one of the few things they got right. they were revolutionary for their time and they are still very very important to me as a wlw who grew up with atla and lok. ugh. yeah i love them
