"Doctor please, I don't want to go back into storage!"
Dr. Julien sighed as he turned to address the droid, "I need to focus on building the elemental androids. I have no further use for you." As he continued to prep them for deactivation.
K-17 twitched as he saw the doctor pull out the wires he'd use to activate the shutdown protocol. He didn't want to go back into storage, he hated waking up disorientated with too much time passing, never knowing if he'd actually wake up again or if he'd just rot in that box forever.
"Please, I can still be of some use! I can help around the house, or I can help watch your sons, you'll need something with a chrono-steel power source to do tests on." K-17 practically begged, but the doctor continued on, unphased by his pleas.
Dr. Julien opened K-17's chest panel, "I don't need your assistance anymore. You are a prototype, you aren't built to do more than to test the limits of the chrono-steel power source and ai functioning's. You have fulfilled your tasks, and I cannot have anymore distractions. This is the best course of action." He stated as he completed hooking up K-17, and moved to the computer to initiate shutdown.
Trembling as he moved to stand in his storage unit, "Will I ever wake up again?" He whispered, shaking at the thought of this being the end. That he would never have anything else past this point.
Dr. Julien didn't take his eyes off the monitor as he answered, "Most likely not. Unless there is some other tests that need to be done, which is very unlikely."
The doctor finished his last line of code, finally looking back at his creation he smiled making K-17 want to scream. The shutdown code being initiated, he watched as his functions shut down one by one. Panic rising as it started:
[shutdown_K17_aditory_outputs]
Silently mouthing his pleas, his voice refusing to work as the code took its tole.
[shutdown_K17_auditory_inputs]
Deaf to the whirling of its own body, the hum of the machinery he knew filled the room.
[shutdown_K17_motor_funtions]
Their body refused to follow orders, hanging slack out of his control, as the doctor begun to secure him in their storage unit.
[shutdown_K17_tactile_senors]
Numb to the surface he was tied down to, he watched as the doctor closed him inside the unit.
[shutdown_K17_optical_outputs]
Left in the dark, unable to move, he almost felt free. Unable to perceive the boundaries placed on his form he could pretend for a second that instead of shutting down he was waking up. That he was just reliving his last memories as he rebooted, like it has a few times before.
