Nice to see people on tumblr calling out the weird resurgence of conservative puritanism happening in the twitter fandom rn. It's pretty frustrating because if you call them out on it then they'll just say you're addicted to porn to invalidate the actual criticisms. I've noticed they do that a lot over there; using buzzwords to shut down any arguments and seem like they're morally righteous because of it. They cancelled a pretty big artist on twitter quite literally just for having kinks, it was pretty stupid.
I've been trying to stay off of that hellsite since there seems to be some new drama there literally every week- I mostly reblog art and nothing more
i saw it happen in my early years on tumblr and i will call it out again when i see it now
ive seen so many wonderful artists vanish off this site along with all their art way too often, for the simple crime of.... also being a strange hormonal teen? with strange ideas? like everyone else was on tumblr at the time?
i dont know, its so stupid how people think theyre doing something good and morally right when in truth theyre being the worst and creepiest of people because of personal feelings and biases. my partner found a twitter dedicated to stalking a Singular youtuber that got shoved off the internet, making daily posts about any activity from their partners, friends, and about people in their circle the person suddenly didnt like. sorry, but no amount of excuses and reasons will EVER make me think thats a normal and healthy thing to do to anybody, and its sad to say its not even the first time ive seen that happen.
i dont know, i know my own morals, those puritans on twitter seem to have the most trouble with the concept.
