its not a dealbreaker but i dislike when UT au crossover fics make SURE the characters know which one is the original world (Undertale), like unless they know about the Creators, theres really no reason for that knowledge to come about

and then their calm reactions are inherently ooc because wdym they arent at all thinking "what the hell my entire being and universe was created by someone?? and based off of an original?"

some might be casual but others like... UF papyrus? he would NOTTT take that shit

tbh as much as i wish rantaro had lived, i understand why they killed him off in the first chapter and i think it works really well. it sets up a mystery that you're then thinking about throughout the entire game as you try to theorize about the mastermind and such. you know for a fact rantaro was an important character but cant quite pinpoint how or why. and you cant just go talk to him. can't pry for more info. and then it all comes full circle near the end. i guess u could say he lives on in the player's mind lol

So- Cal started off as a passive influence. Constant whispers in Bro's ears and "suggestions" on what he should and shouldn't do. Was it Bro's decision to push people away in his youth and lash out violently? Yes. It's also hard to ignore the influence of a constant whisper disguising itself as concern, especially when the whisper is the only 'family' you have

After a certain point, it's easier to stop fighting and just- give in. That's when Cal's influence becomes active- Bro recedes into his head and Cal puppets his body. He COULD take his body back, in theory. My Bro didn't know this, pre sburb. He's aware of what he's doing to some degree, but it's distant and he's too far into his head and by this point he's been puppeted and locked away for so long its debatable if he would be able to fight back even if he knew he could

Post sburb/Cal arc, Bro is aware of the influence and tries actively fighting it- the influence is somewhere in the middle. He now knows that he CAN fight it and he fights Hard the moment he can grasp onto clarity.
