yes, the word transexual has a long and complicated past but a lot of people here need to recognize that some trans people identify with that term.  It’s down to the individual, their understanding of the term, their culture, language, ect.  At the end of the day it’s about how the term is used and who by. If a trans person identifies more with the word transexual after they’ve undergone confirmation surgery then that's okay.  Another trans person who's had GCS might not identify with this term and that's okay too. If a cis person just used it as an umbrella term, without considering the history of it and the individual they are talking to, that's where problems arise.

Basically, just consider the individual.

I think that something people need to realise is that "porn addiction is real and can be a problem" and "sex work has been essential to the survival of many women and lgbt people and should be destigmatised" are ideas that can coexist and you all need to get the worms out of your brain.

Okay I see the number of people writing DJ Sub using “Plutonian” as an insult to most people, or hating Pluto. But I raise this:

When he calls B2J “Plutonians,” he explains (because they didn’t understand the subtext the first time he made a comparison) that Pluto was once considered a planet of the solar system, then it wasn’t, and in the same way, Rock was once a popular genre, and no longer is. He actually explains that his insult to them is that they’re a lost cause performing an outdated, “irrelevant” genre.

In other words, Plutonians is an insult specifically to B2J

He probably would come up with different insults for other people, comparing them to different celestial bodies for different reasons. And, just because he uses Pluto as an insulting comparison in this situation, does not mean he has anything against it. In fact, he might even be able to find other qualities of the dwarf planet to craft a complimentary metaphor.
