although ok ko is gone-it’s really clear that the folks at Cartoon Network haven’t completely ignored its significance. If you really look and listen to the new Steven universe content (the new intro, the movie itself) you can see a lot of Ian’s and Ok Ko’s influence on the final product. There were a lot of musical elements that were prevalent in the ok ko series and if you look at the animation itself they’re playing around with a lot more perspectives, which was a distinguishing factor of ok ko (I mean, look at the intro!)

there’s a lot of reason to be mad at Cartoon Network right now but it’s nice to know that they didn’t just cast it all away and that it has made a significant impact
