what do you think Herbert’s attitude towards PDA with Dan is?

Hmmm I think he'd like casual touching. Like, he'd stand near Dan, have their arms looped together etc. If they're sitting down he'd want Dan's arm around his shoulders or something. But when it comes to kissing or anything beyond that he'd be like, People don't need to see us like that. Like, it's no ones business but their own that they engage in kissing.

I just think he'd like the little gestures that signify to others that Dan is his (depending on the situation of course. I don't think Herbert would be too thrilled at Dan trying to hold his hand at work or whatever lol) but he's a very private person in general so he doesn't feel it's necessary to give other people a meaningful window into their relationship.

Hed absolutely loathe other couples engaging in any kind of PDA though lol.
