It wasn’t even 10:00 in the morning yet, and already Nod wanted to go to bed. He had been up all night chasing after some stray Boggans in the forest, and still Ronin had the nerve to force him into a morning training session. What good am I gonna be in a fight, Nod thought, if I’m exhausted all the time? This was the third night in a row he’d had to go after those Boggans.
Nod’s train of thought broke when he saw M.K. walking toward him. She, unlike Nod, was bright-eyed and awake, smiling warmly at Nod. “Hey, M.K.,” Nod said with a half-hearted wave.
