Psa: these are not my lungs. I used the picture to show what’s going on almost similarly in my body. I had results yesterday of my regular CT and bone scans and unfortunately was told that my little spots in my lungs are growing. From the biopsy they did back in February we know it’s osteosarcoma, the same carcinogen that stole my leg, and it is growing at a slow pace. My biggest node is on my left lung at the bottom and is 2.2 cm wide. As soon as a node is passed 1.1 cm it is visible and can be operated out. I do have many other smaller nodes all over my lungs that aren’t growing as fast as the 2.2 cm node, but they are still suspicious. I will need surgery in the next 3 months and my oncologist is suggesting more chemotherapy. I’m frustrated because I feel like I went through hell and back with the first 32 rounds of chemo and that didn’t wipe all to most of the cancer out and they want me to do more? I’m mad because I’m back to work and finally a human again and all so easily I could just turn it off and become a patient again. It scares me to think after all I’ve worked so hard for and have gone ahead and beyond to achieve can be so easily forgotten with this shitty disease. It’s very easy to treat cancer, but learning how to treat yourself even years later is almost impossible. #thoughts #fuckprayers #itsingodshands 🙄
